Answer

forest

by Ivan Peledov

I don’t like license plates hung up in the sky
and alphabets of leaves rumbling on the shores of demented forests.
Ask the queen of a heavenly puddle how many
rusty birds hide in the endless hours of threadbare mornings
at the outskirts of towns founded by thieves and hoodlums,
ask her if you wish but don’t wait for the answer.
