& there’s that breathless moment where my body is not something to control or measure or for others to critique, just a vessel that gives me freedom to escape the confines of these four walls, to witness the first snowflakes of a new season where everything is both beautiful and dead, where ordinary streets are coated with ethereal white, where I might become something new
